Steve and I were blessed to make the announcement on our North Campus (contemporary services) by giving our witness in worship. We shared a story of answered prayer, and told how after two years of asking God to raise up leaders to begin the ministry, two women stepped forward when God put the military on their hearts.
Since then 12 people attended the San Antonio Bridges to Healing Seminar and learned how the church can minister to troops and families reaching out with the hope and healing of Jesus Christ. With the committee in place, we are now surveying our 6,000 member congregation to assess the needs and give direction to our ministry plans.
Today we are giving thanks to God for answered prayer, faithful servants and divine guidance! We know that whatever the military ministry of our church does, it will be more than we could ever ask or imagine...
